Z is for Zombie v1.1 has been submitted

I just submitted version 1.1 of Z is for Zombie for review, besides some basic performance improvements, this is a pretty big update:

1. Zombies explode into a bloody mess when they die – this really enhances the atmosphere.

2. Game is twice as long – every level has been doubled with all new artwork. Each level now has two stages.

3. Basic Zombie AI – Instead of running straight across the screen, the zombies now hunt you down. This really improves the gameplay, and adds another level of difficulty.

Version 1.0 of Z is for Zombie was approved for sale in the iPhone App Store on today! You can find it in the App Store now.

Z is for Zombie has been submitted

I wanted to post an announcement that my first iPhone game is now in review with Apple. It’s called Z is for Zombie, and it’s a side scrolling survival game. I’ve released a few iPhone apps before, but nothing this involved. I hand drew every bit of artwork for the game.

The game uses a very basic control scheme. You move using the accelerometer and tap anywhere on the screen to shoot. You can adjust the accelerometer angle from the settings screen as well, so you’re not locked into what I think is the ideal playing angle.
